Haryana Marriage Registration Certificate

Haryana Law requires that all marriages are recorded and a certificate of marriage Form provided. To establish that someone was lawfully married to someone else, you will need a marriage certificate. A passport may also be obtained by providing evidence of your marital status. We go through the specifics of obtaining the Haryana marriage certificate in this post.

Criteria for Eligibility

In Haryana, the following conditions must be fulfilled to obtain a marriage registration certificate:

  • The bride and groom must be 18 and 21 years old, respectively.
  • There should be only one spouse for each party at the time of marriage registration.
  • The groom and bride must have resided in the district for at least one month before the wedding.

Which documents do I need?

Fill out the application form at the time you submit it:

  • Marriage Certificate
  • The birth certificate of the bride and groom is required.
  • The Bride and Groom’s Proof of Residency
  • Both individuals’ photographs are shown.
  • Invitation Card for a Marriage
  • The image on which the couple’s portrait is based

How to Fill Out an Online Marriage Registration Application

To obtain a Haryana Marriage Certificate online, applicants must follow the steps below.

  1. The applicant should visit the Haryana government’s official website.
  2. You can start by selecting the “Application for Marriage Registration” option under our Online services menu to register for marriage.
  3. On the application form, click the “Click here to apply” link.
  4. Please click the “Click here to apply” button on this page.
  5. The next page contains a marriage registration form. 
  6. Also, select a payment option and submit your payment online. After you’ve completed the online form properly, click the “Save” button.

Now, the applicant will receive a Transaction ID submission acknowledgment. The applicant may print a copy of the acceptance letter.

Procedure to Complete Offline

The Haryana Government portal has a downloadable app version, as seen in the figure below.

The marriage applicants must visit the registrar in the municipality of their wedding. On any working day, apply, along with required documentation and a fee, to the registrar of marriages in the municipal corporation where the marriage will be performed.
